A Note From The Director
Dear Algona Public Library cardholders,
Beginning April 6, the Algona Public Library will offer curbside pickup on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. In addition to books, we can hand out tax forms and printouts.
Patrons who have access to a computer should submit requests through our website by 3:00 at least one day in advance. Use At A Distance – Curbside Pick Up on the menu. If you are unable to use a computer, you may call the library with requests for up to three books or other items. Once staff members have collected the items, you will receive a call or an email to notify you the items are ready for pick-up on the next Tuesday or Thursday.
We believe these reduced hours will allow us to staff our library effectively and safely, while still meeting the needs of our community.
The Algona Public Library continues to follow guidance from the State Library of Iowa, The Iowa Library Association, and city/local officials. The curbside pickup schedule is subject to change.
Thank you for your continued patience, understanding, and support during these uncertain times.
Director, Algona Public Library
